Candice van der Rheede

Women’s Activist and Motivational Speaker

Candice will share her personal story of “Divine Authority” at the God’s Karoo Women Conference 2026—a testimony that will touch your heart and stir your spirit.
Candice’s life is a powerful testament to resilience. Her childhood was marked by brokenness—she experienced homelessness, physical and sexual abuse, and had to leave school over 30 years ago. Yet she never gave up on her dreams. As the founder of the Western Cape Missing Persons Unit (WCMPU), she has dedicated her life to serving others. A near-death experience in 2020, while critically ill, gave her a renewed purpose: to heal her own “broken girl” by completing her matric. In October 2023, she enrolled in night school—and despite serious health challenges during exams, she passed, describing the moment with tears of joy. Today, at 50, she’s beginning her LLB studies through UNISA with a vision to become a magistrate who challenges injustice in the legal system. For Candice, this journey isn’t just about a qualification; it’s about reclaiming her life, turning pain into purpose, and inspiring others to never give up. Her story reminds us that true authority isn’t born from perfect circumstances—it’s forged in the choice to stand firm in God’s authority, even when life pushes back.
